Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper examined the impact of multimedia on learners’ engagement in mathematics in Junior Secondary Schools in Alimosho Local Government Area, Lagos State. A descriptive survey research design was employed, and the instrument for data collection was a researcher-designed questionnaire with a 0.78 reliability value. 300 students were sampled, and 264 copies of the questionnaire were correctly filled out and returned. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as percentage, mean, standard deviation, and p-value to interpret the hypothesis. The results revealed that multimedia significantly enhanced learners’ engagement by increasing participation, stimulating interest, and promoting deeper understanding of mathematics concepts. The study concludes that multimedia integration is a powerful strategy for improving learner engagement in Mathematics.
